Diamond Day Bouquet
About Us
Diamond Day Bouquet began in the spring of 2017, when Caitlin Carnahan and Greg Reed first moved to the Olympic Peninsula. Our small-scale, two-acre flower farm is tucked into the Chimacum Valley outside of Port Townsend, and is planted out in a diverse array of perennials, annuals, dahlias and shrubs. Caitlin and Greg began their agricultural life as a vegetable farmers. After meeting in Seattle in the early otts, the ran away from the city in search of a land based life. After much adventuring they landed on Vashon Island managing a small vegetable farm. Every season the flower patch grew a little larger, and after relocating to the Olympic Peninsula they were able to realize their dream and buy five acres to call the home farm and raise their family- Diamond Day Bouquet was born. Ever since Caitlin and her family relish the opportunity to continue to grow their farm and to love and work the land that is their home - to create a place and produce product that reflect their deep respect, love, and awe of the beauty of the natural world. Diamond Day are proud members of the Seattle Growers Market.
Growing Practices
At Diamond Day we feel a deep connection to the land we steward and approach farming as a relationship with the land that is reciprocal. This land gives us so much! We give back in mineral amendments, organic fertilizers, compost and cover-cropping. We farm organically and never use any harmful sprays or pesticides and utilize regenerative, no-till practices. We conserve water by utilizing drip tape and mulch. A huge part of our farms little ecosystem is our wonderful staff with whom we strive to have meaningful and supportive relationships with.
